The Futur Camp Nou, a project envisioning the comprehensive reform and expansion of the Camp Nou, forms a part of the Espai Barça operation developed by FC Barcelona for the reorganisation and improvement of the facilities and services for its members.
The new stadium increases the capacity to approximately 105,000 spectators and is completely covered with a large roof that will protect from the rain and direct sun and will provide visual comfort, improving the interior sound.
The new cantilevers, added to various levels of the stadium, form perimeter circulation rings where concessions and toilets will be located, as well as the rest of the services necessary for the proper functioning of the stadium, forming an open facade where members and fans will be the protagonists.
The creation of 12 new vertical cores formed by escalators, lifts and stairs facilitates access to the stadium while increasing the comfort of movement of the member allowing quick, easy and pleasant circulation at all levels.
The new stadium will be more accessible, with well-located and distributed seats for people with reduced mobility and accompanying persons, better services and signage for spectators with hearing and visual impairments.
The project includes the Barça Museum and the Botiga Barça as the main complementary pieces to the Stadium accompanying the experience of spectators on match day as well as of the visitors to the Stadium itself on non-game days.
