The project for the Los Arqueros Shopping Center gives special importance to the integration with the environment and the generation of an urban space. The building is understood as a floral fence that seeks to mimic the natural context and achieve an identity appropriate to its commercial use.
The complex is structured in two buildings – two floors each located in parallel – that make up a public square around which rotates the commercial space and from which access to both volumetrics. This square seeks the spatial and material quality, therefore it is covered with light structures for the generation of shade. The facades of the building, transparent, open and with small cracks are oriented towards the adjacent urbanizations. The vegetal fence of these grows and is incorporated to the building, generating garden roofs. The two buildings that make up the complex are structured on a ground floor with commercial premises and services, and a top floor with offices and restoration areas. The hotel fits harmonically with them.
