In 2017, the b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos team celebrated 20 years with buildings such as the Hotel VP Plaza España (2018, Madrid), the Lycée Français (2017, Barcelona), the Itaim Tower (2017, São Paolo) or the Spanish Pavilion at the Universal Expo (2015, Milan). An exhibition under the name “Enchanting Traces” (“Rastros y Encantos”) at the prestigious Aedes Gallery in Berlin was designed by the team for the occasion.

The exhibition is a retrospective show, 20 years|20 projects selected to explain the approach and working methods of the b720 team. The central element of the installation evokes a stall at the Encants market in Barcelona, the central project of the exhibition discourse. Fragments of each of the featured projects are arranged on folded panels around this “market”.

A visit to this exhibition allows to reread the trajectory of the b720 studio, as well as to relive a fragment of history that goes from post-Olympic Barcelona to pre-crisis Spain, passing through the Brazilian boom or the evolution of international architecture in recent years, inviting visitors to approach the work of b720 in multiple ways of perception and reflection.
