ULI Madrid: III Meeting Megatrends on Urban Mobility

For the first time in history, more than 50% of the world’s population lives in urban areas and by 2050 this figure is expected to exceed 70%.
The car without driver is already a reality and in less than three years we will see them circulate normally in the USA. and Europe. This industry, still incipient, will grow at rates of vertigo in the coming years, when the cost is lowered and its use is widespread. Some experts even say that “when the autonomous car is implanted, people will be prohibited from driving.” Added to this is that most of the autonomous cars will be shared.
At the III ULI Megatrends Meeting we will have the world’s largest experts in mobility to discuss the challenges facing cities and their ability to adapt to this new reality.
To illustrate the importance of mobility in urban planning, we will have an exceptional guest, Mr. Samuel I. Schwartz, President and CEO of Sam Schwartz Transportation Consultants, a leading transportation planning and traffic engineering company, as well as a columnist in The New York Daily News and the NY Downtown Express. Sam Schwartz was Chief Commissioner of Traffic in New York City and is considered one of the world’s foremost experts on mobility and transportation.
